/ Vented Stainless Steel plates: The Alignment Conversion System
is integrated into this subwoofer enclosure to provide flexibility
in desired frequency response as well as integrate acoustically
with some of the most popular subwoofers on the market. The
Alignment Conversion System consists of one high strength Stainless
Steel Alignment Conversion Ring or “ACR” with a triangular
cutout in the middle denoted “1.45 or .9 Cubic Feet Vented”.
The second Alignment Conversion Plate or “ACP” has
a solid center labeled “1.85 or 1.15 Cubic Feet Sealed”.
Depending on the driver’s requirements and the desired
frequency response, you will need to select either the ACP or
ACR plate in order to take advantage of this enclosure’s
acoustical and aesthetic benefits. |

| How
do I choose the right Alignment or ACS plate?: Choosing between
a sealed or vented enclosure alignment can often times be a
tough decision, typically based on several different criteria.
Initially, we suggest that you determine what the manufacturer
suggests (in regard to a sealed or vented alignment) for the
subwoofer you plan to use. Most subwoofers will work in either
alignment, however there are things you can take into account
to yield the results you are looking for. Some determining factors
may be: How much power is being applied to the sub system, what
type of vehicle the sub system is installed in, what type of
music he/she may listen to, what the systems front stage or
mid and high frequency speakers are comprised of and how much
power is applied to this portion of the system. These are primary
considerations and may relate to several other factors such
as placement of the sub system, cosmetic integration and just
plain old “this sounds best to me”. Please feel free
